Matt Ward is his real name but he goes by M. Ward in the music industry. As far as I am concerned he could go by Mr. M and I would be a fan. His music has helped to get me through the worst parts of law school. And I highly recommend that anyone who is interested in finding a new musician to listen to take just 10 seconds to hear the awesomeness of his voice.

I first fell in love with his voice whilst listening to a tv commercial. Every day when I watched tv, this commerical would come on (and yes I do watch tv everyday, I’m a bad student). The song was called, “Here Come’s the Sun Again” and it is on his album, Transistor Radio. This song will forever be ingrained in my brain as my 1L song, it evokes special memories in my mind.

More recently, I have fallen in love with, “Requiem” which is on his Post-War album. The video is also pretty sweet and the two together make for a bombshell of a song. Here is a link to the video so you can sample in the greatness of M. Ward:
