For law students (or professors, or community members, or whoever reads this) with canine friends, Iowa State Bank and Trust (and the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center) is holding a $5 microchip clinic on Saturday, April 26th. Details are available at http://www.isbt.com/dogs.php. Apparently, there will be a cat clinic held at a later date, because, obviously, cats+dogs+outdoor clinic=nightmare. This is a good deal, because microchipping not only ensures your pooch’s safety, but chips cost a lot more than $5 at your friendly neighborhood vet’s office.
At left: responsible mother dog takes children for microchipping. Woo!
I wish I was responsible enough to take care of a dog that I could get microchipped.
